virtual-box machine
3. Click next

type, choose Windows for operating System and “Win XP” for the type, then click
next.
5. Allocate memory size for the OS, the recommended memory
for Windows XP is 192 mb, but you can change (decrease or increase) it. But,
remember it must be smaller from your physical memory size.
After define your allocating memory, click Next.
6. In this step you will create hard disk for the OS. If you
have not created it, choose “Create New Hard disk”, then click Next. But if you
have created if, choose “use existing hard disk”, then choose the hard disk
that will be used for installing the OS, then click Next.
7. The next step is to create a new virtual disk for your
virtual machine. You can choose VDI (virtual box disk image)
8. Then define whether the new virtual disk file should be
allocated as it is used or if it should be created fully allocated. The are two
options here :
a. A dynamically allocated virtual
disk file will only use space on your physical hard disk as it fills up,
although it will not shrink again automatically when space on it is freed.
b. A fixed size virtual disk
file may take longer to create on some systems but is often faster to use.
I recommend you to choose the first one.
10. Be sure your all settings before is correct. If you sure, click create, and you will have the new virtual machine.
11. To. Install Windows XP, select at the virtual machine that have been created, then click “Start” button, click next.
12. Select the media which contains the setup program of the operating system you want to install, click Next.
